any:pattern is an 8-bit pattern generator which is typically driven by an input signal via the Clock input. The signal does not have to be a constant series of pulses, irregular events are fine too.
The module provides 6 mode switches which can be combined in any way:
- Count (similar to a Clock Divider) or Roll (shift a bit)
- Do it straight forward or in reversed order
- Step size 1 or 3
- Regular or inverted output
- Hold the voltage level until next change or just emit one pulse
- Repeat pulses or emit just one
